Gobi Manchurian
Ingredients
Gobi - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp (to bleach)
Onions - 1 no. (chopped finely)
Tomato - 1 no. (chopped finely)
Capsicum - 1no. (chopped finely)
Spring onions - 1/2 cup (chopped finely)
Soya sauce - 1 tsp (optional)
Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 2tsp
Green chillies - 1 tsp (chopped finely)
Garlic - 1 tsp (finely Chopped)
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1 pinch
Gingali oil - 2 tsp
Oil - to fry
Maida - 1 tsp
Corn flour - 3 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - handful (finely chopped)
Method
In a vessel, add water, turmeric powder and let it boil.
Add the cauliflower to the hot water and parboil.
Check inside the cauliflower florets for any worms or unwanted dirts and remove them.
After removing the unwanted, drop the cauliflower into cooled water.
In a bowl, add Maida, cornflour, salt, pepper and little water.
Add the parboiled cauliflower to this cornflour mixture and coat the cauliflower florets.
In a Kadai, heat the oil and fry the coated cauliflower flower and keep it aside.
In kadai, heat gingali oil, add garlic, green chillies, red chilli powder, onions, salt and cook well.
Once the onions turn slightly brown, add sauces, sugar and tomatoes, once these come together, add capsicum, spring onion, fried cauliflower and give a mix. Let it cook together for 5 mins.
Now sprinkle coriander leaves and serve it hot.
