Kaara pori (a) spicy puffed rice
Ingredients
Puffed rice - 1 bowl
Musturd - 1 tsp
Red chillies - 2
Turmeric powder - 1.5 tsp
Ground nut - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - hand full
Gingali oil - 2 tsp
Channa dal - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Method
Add oil to a Kadai, add musturd, red chillies and curry leaves to it.
Once it starts to splutter, add turmeric powder, salt, cashews or groundnuts and dals to it.
Once the nuts and dals turns to be in golden color, add the puffed rice.
Mix them all together well and turn off the fire.
Note: U can also add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder if u are preparing for adults or lovers of spices
U can crumble the fried crispy red chillies and add them back to Kara pori mixture. This elevates the spiciness of the dish.
Store this in a air tight container, see through that no moisture or water droplets stays in the container or it's lid.
