Paavakakka pitla 
Ingredients :
Bitter gourd - 2 no.s
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Jaggery - 1tbsp
Moong dal - 1 cup (boiled) 
Tamerind extract - one cup (diluted in water) 
Common powder - 3tsp

Commonly tempered composition - 2 tsp 
To grind :
Urad dal - 2 tsp
Pepper - 2 tsp
Coconut - 2tbsp 
Method:

Boil bitter gourd and strain the water, wash it well.

Grind the paste by adding above mentioned ingredients under to grind.

In a Kadai, add tamarind extract and cooked bitter gourd. 
Add turmeric powder, salt and vellam. 
Once it comes together, add boiled moong dal. 
Let it get cooked well. 
Now add the paste and cook well. 
Finally add the common powder and commonly tempered ingredients. 
Let it boil for a minute or two. Serve them hot.
