Paruppu adai
Ingredients
Idly rice - 1 cup
Thoor dal - 3 tsp
Moong dal - 3 tsp
Chennadal - 3 tsp
Kollu - 2 tsp (optional)
Red chillies - 2
Green chillies - 1
Curry leaves - handful
Asafortida - 2 tsp
Salt
Gingali oil - to cook Adai
Method
Soak the dal, rice, chillies and curry leaves in water for 1 hour.
Add the soaked ingredient, salt, asafortida and grind coarsely.
Convert it into the bowl and beat it well.
Now draw the batter like Dosa and add few drops of Gingali oil on top of it.
Let it get cooked on both the side by turning it upright.
Cook till it gets crispy texture.
Serve it with idly molagapodi and vellam. It is normally served with aviyal. U can also serve with salted curd and crushed green chillies.
Note: See through that the batter is in semi thick consistency and doesn't turn to be very liquid.
