"Nendhrampazham chundinadh"
This is a very yummy sweet made with simple ingredients. This dish is from Kerala and I learnt this recipe from my Paati and Amma.
Nendhrampazham, a type of banana, very famous and common at Kerala, is the main ingredient of this dish. The banana is cut and each piece of banana gets caramelized in jaggery and ghee and these golden pieces tempts us😋😋😋😋 This has medicinal value too. The jaggery is good for medicine for cough and is rich in nutrients. This type of banana helps in increasing the weight and reduces the chances of getting piles too.
Ingredients:
Banana pieces - 2cups
Jaggery syrup - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Method:
Add the banana pieces into hot ghee in a tawa and roast well.
Let the edges of the banana pieces get roasted and let the color of the banana also change.
Now add the jaggery syrup into this and let each individual piece of the banana get coated with syrup and get caramelized.
Cook for 5 mins and serve them hot or refrigerated.
