Upperi (a) poriyal (a) Kootukarigal
Ingredients
Avarakka - 1 cup chopped
Chakkaravellikezhangu - 1cup chopped
Vaazhakka - 1 cup chopped
Chenai - 1 cup chopped
Salt - to taste
Commonly tempered ingredients - 2 tbsp
Common powder - 4 tsp
Coconut - 2 cups grated
Turmeric powder - 4tsp
Method
Boil and cook each above mentioned vegetables separately.
In a Kadai, add avarakka, the tempered ingredients, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
Now add half cup of coconut and 1tsp of commonly used powder.
Now cook well till it gets dry and comes together.
Repeat the same steps for Chenai, Vaazhakka and Chakkaravellikezhangu also.
Serve hot.
Note: No extra tempering is required and no onions - garlic or foreign vegetable or chillies should be used.
