Urad dal vadai 
Ingredients 
Urad dal - 1 cup
Salt - as required 
Water - as required
Jeera Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Curry leaves - 2 tsp (finely chopped) 
Coconut oil - to fry

Method 
Soak the Urad dal in water for 1 hour and after 1 hour keep it inside the refrigerator for 2 hours 
Now add the soaked Urad dal and salt. Grind it nicely into a thick paste having halwa like consistency. 
Now convert the batter into a vessel, add jeera pepper powder and curry leaves. 
In a Kadai, add coconut oil and heat it well on high flame and turn it into sim flame once the oil gets heated. 
Wet ur hands well. 
Take a palm full of batter and make it like donuts in shape and drop them into the oil. Fry the vadais in sim flame. 
Take the vadai out of oil once it gets cooked well. 
Note: No red or green chillies or garlic and onions are added into vadai for Shradham or Dhevasam.
